![]() If someone uses the firewall native Windows (preferably Windows 7, but probably the same for 8 and 10), I would be interested to know what UDP ports allows your Windows Hello firewall.Ĭontrol Panel > Windows Firewall > advanced settings > inbound rules > Hello However, that did not yet work so I ended up coming back to the all Ports configuration. So I studied what UDP ports were actually necessary for the Hello and Airplay and amended the rule again, this time replacing all Ports with these specific UDP port numbers: 554 (1900), 5289 5298, 5350, 5351, 5353, 49159, 49163 Changing the rule to allow all Ports (UDP) does the job. The Windows Firewall has a rule entry of inbound traffic for Hello to port 5353 UDP. It was a bit of a surprise, because the Airfoil program (third party utility AirPlay) uses also Hello (that works). Well, problem solved (mostly) by a lot of trial and error and it turns out be a problem of WF on the UDP ports must be open for Hello.
